| Looking for information on Slaney
To anyone who can help....
I own a Connemara pony that was given to me by a family in Nottingham who in turn got him from Ireland. We only have him passported as the gentleman who shipped him from Ireland has lost his pedigree papers.
I have written letters to a few people who might have been able to help but I have never had a reply back. The only information I have is that the Sire was Slaney owned by J. Kierns, Co. Sligo - I wrote a letter last year but didnt get a reply.
I am desperately trying to trace my ponies full pedigree. If anyone can help me, it would be much appreciated.
Name: River (also known as Yellow River or Clonterm Cream Cracker
Sex: Gelding
Colour: Palomino, white blaze and white patches on his hocks (maybe from an old injury?)
Size: 13.3hh (ish)

you should be able to get a full pedigree if you get a DNA testing kit through the society/vet. the blood sample goes to wetherby's and you get an accurate pedigree as most connemara's DNA is on a database now. hope this helps | lindsay boyce | 8/March/2010 |
